Darn it, tomorrow is mother's day and I have no Idea what to do for my host mom. I guess I'll do her garden. She is the first person I saw to be so concern about her garden. Her choir girl friend Bruni was also talking about her moss in her garden. My mom in Malaysia too, usually I cook her breakfast.
My mom brought me out to a discount store LIDL and ALDI for groceries shopping. Since the day I arrived Germany, I wondered whether there are markets here like in Malaysia that sells cheaper goods than the supermarket. After that, she brought me to the market where Marlene (returnee from Indonesia) worked. The prices of goods are more expensive than the goods sold in the supermarket and discount store. Now I know the reason why I don't have much chances to visit markets. I felt a suprised when I saw the bean sprouts sold in the market. I thought it was impossible to buy things like that here in Germany. When I would like to make soup or dishes, I know where to get them.
I went for a 'shopping concert' in WDR today. It was free admission and they perform the concert once a month. I went there alone because I couldn't find anyone to go with me. I found out why it's free too. It's only 30 minutes of performance. I actually missed the most of it because I was late. There was a demonstration against the right extremist in the Main Train Station in Cologne. The trams were interrupted.
